Sometimes we have trouble finding great Vegan options while on the road for the ‘I AM EQUAL’ Photo Documentary tour and even more difficult is finding a food option that will meet both the needs of our vegan and non-vegan staff. Thankfully, while walking through Seattle we discovered Zpizza and our lives will never be the same.
This cute little bakery is truly a gem in the heart of Salt Lake City. If you’re like us and you LOVE great bakery sweets, this is your place to go. The front case is packed with EVERYTHING you would want to satisfy your sweet tooth, from scones and muffins to chai cake, tiramisu, cinnamon rolls, chocolate dipped cookies and much more. Everything in the shop is hand crafted by an expert bake team and supervised by the master of the oven, Nannette.
Every time we work with Starwood Hotels and The Sheraton we are impressed with their precision and focus for providing an exceptional business experience for their hosted events, and on top of that, their rooms are modern, clean, contemporary spaces that let us relax, recharge, and prepare for our HUGE record-breaking events.
We knew that MGM Resorts International is committed to diversity and equality in the workplace and in all their properties, so we were excited to have them step up as a corporation and support our ‘I AM EQUAL’ Photo Documentary stop in Las Vegas. They wanted to make sure we had a great space, in a central location so the community of Las Vegas could easily find the event and take part – so we found a home in the famous New York New York Hotel & Casio on the Lass Vegas Strip.
When we brought the I AM EQUAL project to Sacramento, CA we were grateful to have THE GREEN BOHEME as our food lifeline. From our first visit to this quaint little cafe hidden in the bustle of urban sprawl we knew we had found something special. It’s hard enough to find a great VEGAN restaurant, let alone a great RAW/VEGAN restaurant…but this time, we got lucky when we came across Brooke and her team.
We loved THE CITIZEN HOTEL with all it’s boutique charm, vintage flavor, and attentive staff. From the moment we walked in the huge front doors, we knew we had landed somewhere special. Surrounded by marble floors and stairs, cozy and warm custom decor, and historic memorabilia from the state capital, this hotel is a unique gem in the heart of downtown Sacramento.
I have downs syndrome. Sometimes people been teasing me cause I look different. I went to many schools. I was vulnerable and it would make people want to tease me when I was in school. One time a boy spitted on me on my glasses. Another time a girl pinched me hard on the shoulder and it hurt. And other students would call me slow. And when people do these things it kind of makes me a little sad and hurt.
